[Jaeger nods at that, but he doesn't say anything else on that topic. It's completely different experiencing something like that first-hand, he's sure. He can only hope his life didn't end in a way nearly that traumatizing.]
Well, there's the map I sent you. Aside from that I know there are two organizations - the knights and the guilds - and that tensions are high between them. There isn't much else I know when it comes to our world, unfortunately.
[This is...easier to discuss, it's far easier to discuss, and he'll eventually stop paging through the notebook long enough to set it out in front of Jaeger, pages opened to a drawing of a city of some sort. He's redone it since taking one of the travel booklets from the station with him, given that that was entirely more accurate, but he knows Jaeger can't see the damn picture in it so redrawing it so he can was a thing.]
This is the first place I remembered. I don't know the name of it, nor do I know much about it. I know that I'm fond of it for some reason, and that the spire there is to protect it. The world we came from is full of monsters, and some of them are both intelligent and highly destructive, so we use barrier blastia to keep them from overrunning or destroying the place. I think most cities have them, if not all.
If I had to guess, that may be where I came from. It feels familiar to me, even if I don't know much about it.
[Jaeger studies the picture carefully, trying to match up the architecture to what he remembers. It isn't a match at all. So this is a different city...]
I don't recognize this city at all. I also wasn't aware of the monster problem, or that blastia could be used as barriers, but I do know that blastia are fairly rare; I made a good deal of money selling them. I believe the ones I was selling were primarily to be used as weaponry, but I don't remember details of that.
Do they just do...whatever we need them to do, then? Because I've remembered them used as barriers, and as panels that can be used to take you places - weaponry is new to me, however.
[Is. Is blastia just the world's most convenient magitech. Is it just our word for WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THIS MAGICAL ROCK IS SO WE'RE GONNA CALL IT BLASTIA BECAUSE EVERYTHING WE DON'T UNDERSTAND IS BLASTIA. What the hell, us.]
[DON'T WORRY, HE'S GOT THIS. He remembered blastia, so Get Ready.]
Bodhi Blastia are often worn as accessories that allow people to use their artes - powerful attacks. There are other sorts of blastia as well, though I don't know what all of them do. I'm not surprised they can be used as barriers, considering that they do seem to be used for almost everything.
There's also a blastia that can replace a human heart, though I don't know how that works, exactly. I do know that the cores of the blastia are extremely rare, so it's difficult to make more of them.
[He's just not going to dwell on the fact that one is attached to his chest right now, he's fine. He's absolutely fine talking about this.]
[...Well, that certainly explains...that... Cumore isn't entirely positive that Jaeger's got the thing literally on his person right now, but he has plenty of reason to suspect it given everything in the tunnels and what little he remembers of what was going on in the car.
He doesn't pause or draw attention to it; he just moves on as though it hasn't occurred to him why the topic might be awkward in the first place, even if they both know damn well that it is.]
Unfortunately, I haven't remembered much detail about them, just that several types of them do exist. The panels that I mentioned were elsewhere, it was...
[Just...let him flip through a couple of pages in that notebook, finding something that looks decidedly more like ruins of some sort.]
This is somewhere else I believe I've been. It was a city called Caer Bocram once, though it's obviously just ruins now and it's been like that for a long time. I believe it was destroyed in an earthquake of some sort...?
Is there anything else you remember? I've remembered my manor, though I couldn't draw it for you since I was a bit preoccupied with a battle in the memory. Other than that, I've remembered two cities and a cave, none of which I could draw based on memory alone.
Wherever we were in that memory I've had with you in it doesn't seem to have been any of these places; I've no idea where I was talking to Alexei, so I couldn't tell you anything about that.
[He leans back once that's out there, the usual mild agitation creeping back into his tone; he shoots a glance over at Koko, who is currently sitting up in that chair with a paw raised like she's considering batting at the fucking pomegranates, though once she knows she's been seen she seems to reconsider and settles back again.]
I'm not particularly eager to remember much else, at least for a while. I doubt I have much choice at this point.
I think you did a good enough job of clarifying what happened, so I won't ask you to talk about that again. I don't think there's anything I need clarified. And don't worry about owing me or anything like that.
[He isn't looking at Jaeger, exactly - he's keeping his gaze turned away, watching the cat even though she isn't doing anything of particular interest - but there's something tight and perplexed visible in his expression; a lack of comprehension, the general notion that that isn't how anything works.]
[...Yeah, he understands. If the situation were any different he probably would expect Cumore to pay him back in some way, but he can't do that when the memory Cumore received was that terrible. So he'll just let it go like this, even if it is confusing Cumore.]
Well, is there anything else to discuss or should I take my leave? I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome, after all!

Caer Bocram... I've never heard of it before. I'm not really surprised that such a place exists, though. It's probably overrun with monsters, too...
[Hmm. Maybe he'll remember something about it later, but for now...]
You've certainly gone to a lot of trouble, drawing all of these out for me. I appreciate it.
no subject
I already had drawings of these places done, they were just all from memory. They were going to bother me until I redrew them anyway.
[...It's good that you appreciate the effort, okay, he just can't express that like a sane person.]
no subject
[You're just Like This, it's fine...]

For what it's worth, I hated him. Alexei, I mean.
no subject
You certainly aren't the only one.
[He's doesn't really want to talk about Alexei though, even though he probably should mention that he was being controlled by the man.]
...Well, I certainly hope this conversation helps me remember something else!

I don't normally do that, you know. Any of that. It shouldn't happen again.
no subject
[Well, if his situation was different, that is.]
no subject
[He's still irritated with himself for losing control like that, if he's going to be honest, but...]
I don't know how well I was able to explain anything to you. If there's anything you want clarified, I can. I at least owe you that much.
no subject
I think you did a good enough job of clarifying what happened, so I won't ask you to talk about that again. I don't think there's anything I need clarified. And don't worry about owing me or anything like that.

[And that just...leaves him before he can really think about it; he's quiet for another moment longer before just trying to wave it off again.]
Go, if you want.
no subject
He doesn't know what to do with that.]
I'll let you know if I remember anything else about Terca Lumireis. I really do appreciate all you've told me today!
[But with that he'll move to stand; it's probably best to get going before it gets too late.]
no subject
...Likewise. If I remember anything relevant, you'll know about it.
no subject
[But he'll go ahead and take his leave; you've presumably got more pomegranates to work on, after all.]
